What we keep, and why

A nickname you pick from our list (like Brave Otter), an animal avatar, an age band (ages 4 to 5, or 6 to 8), the daily play limit you choose, which games they played, the stars they earned, and how many minutes they played each day.

That is all. We never ask for or keep a real name, birthday, photo, voice recording, location, email address or any text typed by your child. There is no chat and no way for your child to talk to anyone.

Your email address, to send sign-in codes and messages about your account, and the date you gave consent. If you subscribe, Stripe handles the payment: we keep the subscription status, never your card number.

When you ask for a sign-in code, we also note the IP address it came from, to stop anyone from flooding an inbox with codes. We delete it after a day, and right away if you delete your account.

Only to run the games, adjust their difficulty, build your child's City, enforce the daily limit and show you progress in your parent area. We do not sell or rent any of it, and we do not show ads to children.

The kid area loads no third-party script and sets no tracking cookie. Two pages for parents (the home page and the welcome page you see right after you create an account) may use the Meta pixel to measure our own ads; it never loads where your child plays.

Only the services that run the Academy for us: our hosting and database providers, our email provider (for your sign-in codes), and Stripe (for payments). They process data on our behalf and for no other purpose.

In your parent area you can see everything we keep about each child, change it, delete a child profile, or delete your whole account. A deletion is immediate and permanent: the child's profile, progress and play time are erased, not hidden.

One exception, so a book you paid for keeps working: if you bought WonderLab books, we keep the order record (the order number and the email used at checkout). It holds no data about your child, and it unlocks the Money area again if you come back with the same email.
